Ipsy January Glam Bag Reveal

I say farewell to Ipsy since I wasn't getting a lot of use out of their products. Over the months I've been with them, they've turned me on to Skinfood's black sugar mask for life and sent me a pretty decent amount of quality stuff except it wasn't the right fit for me since I don't often wear makeup and I hate having all that stuff go unused.

For my January Ipsy bag, I feel they sent me the best of the best! I was really impressed with this package and I'll start by reviewing my favourite piece of this glam bag which was Ciaté's Fierce Flicks liquid liner. I'll always be a die hard fan of KVD's tattoo liner but this one was pretty damn decent. It goes on inky black and I had it on for 12 hours the other day and it hadn't smudged or transferred onto my lower lid. It was really cold out that day and I was tearing up from the wind and that caused a little colour leakage but the formula isn't waterproof, so that's normal.

Next up is a small tub of body butter from Glow for a Cause which is a delicious smelling body butter packed with jojoba, coconut and sunflower oil. Every time you purchase a product from them, some of the proceeds go to help one of many non-profits they are partnered with. I brought this along to Honduras with me and ended up using this on my face. There was always a bit of residue left on my face from the tap water which made it hard for my Tatcha Water Cream to absorb so this body butter did a pretty good job in a pinch.

The item I used THE MOST the past few weeks is the lip scrub from Trust Fund Beauty. I've really been loving using this every other day. It's not too abrasive so I can rub it in without any worries and it leaves behind a nice balm once wiped away.

Ipsy sent me yet another eyebrow product! Between the two beauty boxes (Petit Vour and Ipsy) they've sent me a total of 4 eyebrow products in 3 months. Obviously eyebrows are trending hard right now but what bad luck on my part haha (for those who don't know, I've recently gotten my eyebrows microbladed).

Finally, a liquid matte liquid lipstick by So Susan in Raisin Flesh. This colour is absolutely beautiful and it applies quite thin so if you like your lip products to feel that they're not there, this is for you. Taking this off was a bit hard, I used micellaire water and waterproof eye makeup remover to get mine off so this is definitely long lasting.

The little family and I are going to have dinner in Chinatown tonight as we usually do every Valentines Day. When Dang and I first started dating, it was around Christmas-time and when Valentines Day rolled around I was still very nervous about grand gestures so I had chosen a low key Chinese restaurant to have our date. After dinner we took Photo Booth pictures and we've been doing that every year ever since. Can't wait to add our little man to the tradition!
